Halsey is still feeling very emotional following her recent split with rapper G-Eazy.

The singer briefly began to cry while performing her song “Sorry” at the the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan, Friday.

While singing the lyrics, “Someone will love you/ But someone isn’t me,” Halsey paused and starting sobbing for a moment before continuing.

On Tuesday, Halsey announced she was “Taking some time apart” from her year-long relationship with G-Eazy.

“G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.

In May, Halsey opened up about her relationship with G-Eazy at the Billboard Music Awards, saying, “We’re both each other’s biggest fan and also each other’s hardest critic, so we can tell each other the stuff that other people might be afraid to say to us.”

Their hit collaboration “Him & I” was performed together often, and G-Eazy told Billboard just days before the breakup that the two were in the studio making more songs together.

Halsey and G-Eazy recently announced their breakup after about a year of being one of Hollywood’s most loved-up couples, and it looks like the split is taking its toll.

TMZ reports that Halsey broke down crying-or more specifically, became “Noticeably teary eyed-” while performing the song “Sorry” on Friday night at the Common Ground Music Festival in Lansing, Michigan.

A fan recorded a video of the emotional moment, where Halsey can be seen welling up while singing the lyrics “Someone will love you.”

Halsey announced her split from G-Eazy in an Instagram Story, saying “G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart. I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.”

The pair were together for a year and released the song “Him & I” in 2017.

July 6 – G-Eazy was working on new music with Halsey prior to their split.

Billboard published an interview with the 29-year-old rapper and producer Friday that was conducted just days before he and Halsey called it quits.

G-Eazy, born Gerald Gillum, released the single “Him & I” with Halsey in December.

“We were just in the studio the other night and we made a couple records. She’s one of the most talented people in music,” the star said.

G-Eazy said he and Halsey “Look out for each other,” despite not always seeing eye-to-eye in the studio.

“I mean we challenge each other. We challenge each other in good ways, and we both want each other to win. At the end of the day, that’s the most important thing,” he said.

“The singer shared the news on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, writing of her”Him & I” partner: “I normally keep this kind of thing private but provided our public nature I feel I need to inform my fans.

“G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart. I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and career, and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.”

Fans began anticipating the split earlier in the day when the 23-year-old singer posted a photo with her dog that reads, “Kiss my dog on the forehead and then kiss ur ass goodbye” – a reference to the lyrics, “Kiss my son on the forehead then kiss your ass goodbye” in Drake’s new song “8 Out of 10.” She also had deleted many of her Instagram pictures with G-Eazy, including a post for his 29th birthday in May. Back in May, Halsey opened up about their relationship on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet, saying, “We’re both each other’s biggest fan and also each other’s hardest critic, so we can tell each other the stuff that other people might be afraid to say to us.”

Earlier that month, the rapper pleaded guilty after being arrested in Sweden on charges of assault, drug possession and resisting arrest.

He received a probationary sentence, a $10,000 fine and a payment to the bouncer who was a victim in the nightclub assault.

Halsey was recently announced as a headliner for Saturday of the two-day 2018 Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival alongside Rae Sremmurd, DJ Snake and Future at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater in Long Island, New York, on Aug. 18 and 19.
